this pop up shop is designed using a modified shipping container with 2 considerations in mind;

first for being portable (ie: moved by truck) and other for being secure at nightime from crime and vandalism.

 

the name of the shop is derived from it’s interlocking concept, where every boxes inside the container can be rotated to form crossing interlocking pattern which control people path in the shop (ie: entry and exit)

 

during daytime, the container covers are swung to form cannopies and ramp for entrance and exit. the cannopies help to cover from excess sunlight and also help to cover goods from rains. moreover, the smaller boxes can be folded to be in the same line as the shipping container, providing extra protection.

 

the rough metal surface and graffiti pattern of the shell is designed to avoid vandalism to the container caused by graffiti and other harmful acts.the metal can be brushed or repainted , while graffiti pattern on the covers demotivate such action from being done.
