Vacant urban-space is a playground to develop, test, and showcase creative talents in both art and sport.  Urban artists see something different about these under-utilized spaces that others do not.  The 200 sq. ft., popX4 retail store brings a buying experience to the streets.  Not only does it function as a vender but it also encompasses chill-out seating, a grind-box, and shading for hot days.

popX4's form has a dormant state when un-used, collapsing into itself,  providing security for merchandise and storage.  When activated, benches, overhead shading, and product display, pop-out of the linear form through the use of recycled skateboard wheels and bearings fixed to the strategic regions of the structural grid.  The store is designed to be universally implemented in nearly any vacant urban condition.
