Passive Extrusion takes the archetypal form of the house and extrudes it into thick insulated shell which houses a camelback style house within.  This extrusion is chipped away on the north side where the intense summer sunlight does not bear on the windows.  This in turn provides a series of adjacent indoor, outdoor spaces on the shaded north side, connecting the resident to the neighborhood.
