The spider-tent is designed as a rapidly deployable shading structure that could be expanded and re-configured by adding "modules", being each module is collapsible and entirely portable. Thus, the resulting canopy can be adapted to irregularities in the terrain and be tilted to optimize its shadow patch according to the latitude in which is being deployed.
